Before you begin working through the video tutorials, you need to know which Key Skill to start at. Your child may be ready to start at their current year group or they may need to revisit some skills from previous years in order to build confidence and understanding. Number Stacks Initial Assessments will help you to decide where to begin.
Each unit has its own Initial Assessment (which can either be printed out or displayed on screen) that should be completed before you start working through the video tutorials. Each skill has two questions, designed to test a child's understanding and show any weaknesses. When your child answers both questions incorrectly, you should stop the assessment and begin working through the video tutorials.
